A Tale of Scoundrels and Heists

Star Wars Outlaws takes place during the classic era of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Gamers will play Kay Vess, a teenage rogue getting by in the cutthroat underworld of the galaxy. Torn between obligations to her family or a debt to the crime syndicate that runs the city, Kay will not be able to fulfill these bonds alone. With an empire of organized crime at stake and every rogue in town aiming—[Kay is assembling]—she needs help from those who want vengeance on Ektor within his den of riches, as it could get them all free. It follows her quest for survival and revenge in a galaxy that is a violent cesspool of horrors.

Star Wars Outlaws combat combines melee and blaster attacks, with Kay’s blaster having multiple firing modes that include electromagnetic pulses. A Dynamic World Shaped by Player Choices

There are four key factions in Star Wars Outlaws: the Ashiga Clan, Crimson Dawn, Hutt Cartel, and Pyke Syndicate. The decisions that players make influence Kay’s standing with these factions, which in turn influences certain elements of Bonvagon Rising’s narrative progression and the ability to enter or access particular locations or missions. A good reputation with a faction may give Kay some discounts and access to special missions, while those not on the best terms will have mercenaries sent after him.

It also includes a six-level wanted system, inspired by the open-world antics of its peers, which sees Imperial forces become increasingly interested in pursuing Kay as her crimes escalate. Through any means necessary, the player’s actions must be carefully considered, either bribing or avoiding themselves with relative peace of order maintained in contrast to tempted face-offs involving Imperial forces.
